M.R. Cox, Inc. and its partners will drill one well with an option on future developments to test the Yegua Sands in Liberty County, Texas in late summer or early fall 2007. The initial well will be drilled to 13,000’. Liberty County has a long and prolific history of oil and gas production.
The estimated reserves for this location are 5 BCF on a BTU basis and 408,000 Barrels of Condensate. The initial location is offsetting a well drilled in late 2005 with open flow rates of 20,000 MMCF of gas per day and produced a cumulative of over 4.5 BCF of Gas in 2006. There are also other Yegua Sands that could add significant reserves to this prospect based upon total sands discovered and overall sand thickness. Conservative production estimates are 2.5 MMCF of gas per day and 375 BOPD. The location is within 400’ of a gathering line and sales to the pipeline could begin within 15 days of completion.
