M.R. Cox, Inc. and its partners will drill three (or more) wells in Refugio County, Texas during late summer and the fall of 2007. The 3-D seismic surveys of the lease(s) show distinctly defined areas indicating high concentrations of oil and gas.  The seismology of the proposed well is very similar to that of a very successful discovery well drilled in 2002 on the same lease in the same formation. 

The lease(s) in question are near the confluence of the Guadalupe and San Antonio Rivers near the Bay of San Antonio in the Gulf of Mexico.  This area has a long history of prolific oil and gas production from the Frio and other formations.
